This year the Victorian Section Meeting of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand will be building on the success of previous years meetings with this fantastic one day city meeting on Southbank. The Crown Conference Centre on Southbank in Melbourne is an excellent venue for the meeting, both with room size and conference location. There is plenty of parking for those driving and a plethora of public transport options, being a stone’s throw from Flinders Street Station and the Metro Tram network is on the doorstep. In addition, accommodation is in abundance, with Crown offering the opulence of Crown Towers, the lavish accommodation of Crown Metropol and the contemporary rooms of Crown Promenade. Being a Friday weekday meeting, this wonderful fact and fun filled meeting could be the gateway to a stylish city break in the culturally diverse capital city of Victoria.
The meeting is being organised by the Department of Urology at Peninsula Health in Frankston. The team have been working off the results of the USANZ Victorian Section feedback survey from last year regarding the wants and desires of the Victorian Section members for future Section meetings, to provide this year’s meeting tailored to your needs. Following previous successful city meetings, we have endeavoured to ensure a single day meeting in a central location to maximise the convenience to delegates from near and far, while not compromising on program content.
The program will be broken up into morning and afternoon sessions. The morning will be for broad reaching urology education of interest to all, followed by registrar presentations, which all delegates are encouraged to attend. The afternoon will be aimed at education of a different variety with a mix of speakers from outside of the immediate spectrum of urology to help in strengthening aspects of our practice which are often left unheeded.
The afternoon will round off with the annual general meeting of the Section followed by an evening of mirth to be held at the Gardenn Room at Crown.
Put the date in your diary and don’t forget to top up your Myki!
